The absolute best sandwich place you can find on Highway 1! Do visit and enjoy the biggest sandwiches you can get. Can easily share a sandwich for 2 people. We had the hot pastrami and avocado-turkey-cheddar sandwiches - both were amazing! Super lovely staff and cute ambiance :)

The menu had at least 7 veggie options, and all the salads and sandwiches sounded delicious! I had a Greek style veggie burger, the largest sandwich you can imagine! Delicious with artichokes, peppers, olives, feta. I ended up eating with a fork as it was far too large to actually hold and eat. The back patio was very relaxing and eclectic. Great service and a superb place for lunch.

Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This is strictly lunch and the portions are huge and delicious. This is our best lunch place in Cambria. Update Nov. 2019: new owner for awhile now and it’s still just as good, barely changed a thing. Service is top notch and a chill garden for a relaxing lunch. I eat here at least once a month and it’s always on point.

Loved the food. Place is a little cramped and the line for the register is right inbetween the patio door, the kitchen door, and the bathroom. Had to move around alot to accommodate staff and customers walking through the line of people waiting to order. The food was worth it and super quick. Only problem was my Ortega melt was very hard to keep together. Had to eat it in sections until I could fit it in my mouth without dropping any. So good though. Great spot and totally love the outdoor patios in front and back. We'll definitely be back.

This food was incredible. We asked a local couple where we find the best food in the small town of Cambria. They recommended Cafe, and I now know why. The best sandwiches I have ever had. Very family owned feeling establishment makes the sandwich feel like it was made with extra TLC. If you are in the area, this is the best place to get some easy grub.

You can't beat this place for lunch. Sandwiches are awesome and the soup is usually really good also. Update June 2022: Still amazing sandwiches and soups. Best place for lunch in the area.

This is a must stop for lunch! You can easily share a sandwich because they are big. The beef melt was mouth-watering! I can’t wait to return in August. Our friends ordered a southwest Turkey melt and a bag of Colorado chips to share. She said this was the best food all weekend. Don’t miss this restaurant!!!

I can see why this place garners such stellar reviews on Google and Yelp. It's an adorable little house that I heard used to be a tea room. It is so cozy inside, and filled up pretty quickly right around noon. The decor is very rustic - I love the whole vibe here - and even with all of the wall decor and different surfaces, it was all very clean and dust-free. Very uncommon. The food is excellent, too. Simple but unique flavors. The salads are delicious. Even though it's fast casual, there was always someone on staff walking around to make sure everyone was happy. It's walkable from anywhere else in downtown Cambria, and I will definitely be back next time we pass by on the PCH.

Two days ago we came up to Cambria with 4 of our newbie friends who had never been here... we're here for three days at Cambria Pines Lodge... got a dinner package, which is awesome... and we checked off walking on the boardwalk at Moonstone Beach... visit the elephant seals... then enjoy an awesome lunch at Cafe on Bridge St... we told them if there is a place you have to try it's here... so I try to type in the location for our friends to guide them here... a place in England comes up... that's odd... I try again and again... finally my other friend who has been coming up with us goes on Yelp to help me out.... IT'S PERMANANTLY CLOSED.... What????? No way... but it made sense that's why it didn't come up on WAZE.... My recent reviews always talks about 'Mon and Pop" establishments that have gone by the wayside since the pandemic... I thought this one would have survived... hands down this was the best Mom and Pop shop in Cambria when it came to high quality food with reasonable prices...made with a lot of love.... It felt like a family passed away suddenly... without warning... seemed so healthy... talked to the owner... everything seemed normal... it was a go to place... and have dessert at Linn's across the street at the Pie Shop... or the French Bakery down the road... shock... dismay... sadness... and depression set in.... I was next to the Pub... and sat at the bar... had my diet coke... the rest of us who came stood outside of the Pub... wondering what to do... they've never been in Cambria and was expecting me to decide where to eat... there was no plan "B"... there never was a plan B" only "A"... that was it... so they finally came into the Pub and had something... afterwards I walked over to Linn's and had my slice of pie... by myself... and walked over to where Cafe on Bridge St used to be... the door was open... and a sign that read "Brydge" was written on it... it all looked the same... could it be they are open again??? I walked in to a new owner with a new menu... I'm sure the food it excellent... Unfortunately, the new owner did not know what had happened to the previous owner... which was understandable... Hopefully, they will be as successful as Cafe on Bridge St... this morning after coming back home I read owner of Bridge St.'s message: "The restaurant is owned and operated by Guy Souther, whose passion for serving fresh, simple, yet refined food has brought him to the Central Coast where the ingredients seem to grow bigger and better in the valleys and in the sea air near the Pacific." Guy, from a former lover of your food, I wanted to honor you and wish you the best in where ever life leads you... and let you know that in my eyes you and you food was the best... so much so that I would drive 5 hours just to eat at your restaurant, and talk glowingly about how good your burgers and pastrami sandwich was... If you find it in yourself to come back let Yelp know where you are so I can visit you again... and if you are retired like myself... enjoy the fruits of you labor... and have a great life knowing you made a lot of people smile... Blessings my friend.

Delicious lunch. Delightful old home. We enjoyed our seats on the back patio. Relaxing. Note: A sign stated that this will "permanently close on September 29. New owners will reopen in the fall."
